Reforming the Building Safety Regulator is essential to unlocking stalled urban housing, including in Northampton where viable, well-designed schemes are being delayed by process rather than safety concerns. I make the case that smarter, more proportionate regulation can maintain high safety standards while getting homes built faster, supporting regeneration and addressing affordability in our town.
